How does B&G work?
Why is there an initiation?
BGMC has an initiation fee in order to continually upgrade the fleet and to mitigate the upfront costs of bring new Members into the Club and expanding the fleet.
Is it a One Time Fee?
Yes, the Initiation fee is a one-time fee provided a Member stays current with the Club dues.
How long is an outing?
The BGMC program was developed to mirror full boat ownership as much as possible. Therefore, Members book either the 1st Watch 7:00AM – 2:00PM or the 2nd Watch 3:00PM – 10:00PM. Once an outing block is reserved, the Member may go out for any amount of time within that block. Additionally, if another Member has not booked the following or preceding time block, BGMC Members are welcome to utilize the whole day. We also have all day outings available on certain days of the week if our members would like to reserve longer outings, as well as overnight Excursions to great destinations that cannot be reached in a few hours.
Who is eligible for us of the BGMC Membership?
The BGMC Membership is for use by your immediate family - Spouses, children and grand children are more than welcome to use your membership as often as they like.
What size boats are available?
BGMC platforms a 36’ Hinckley Picnic boat in most of our ports as a base yacht. Additionally, 44’ Hinckley yachts are available in select markets throughout the season for a nominal upgrade fee.
How long is the Membership period?
BGMC offers memberships that range from as little as one Month to Annual.
After I join, what else do I have to pay for?
BGMC dues include all yacht costs (insurance, maintenance, slip fees, etc). Our Members only pay for fuel and extra food provisioning during their outings.
Is the Captain Included in my fee?
Yes, the captain and all yacht fees (except fuel and provisioning) are included in your base membership dues.
Is a Captain required?
Yes, you will always have a BGMC licensed captain on board with you.The BGMC captains are experienced not only on the ways of the sea, but also to meet your every need from catering to unique trip excursions every time you come on board. You'll never touch a scrub brush again! Should you wish to take the helm and once our captain has deemed you capable of operating our Hinckley’s he will be more than happy to let you operate the yachts with him remaining on board with you.
