Barton & Gray Mariners Club Christens Maiden Yacht, Flying Swan

Nantucket, Massachusetts - July 22, 2006 - Barton & Gray today held a festive get-together at the Nantucket Boat Basin to launch Flying Swan, a 2006 Hinckley 36 foot Picnic Boat.  Flying Swan will be placed into Barton & Gray’s fractional fleet to be owned and enjoyed by five individuals and their families in Nantucket for four summer seasons and five individuals and their families in Palm Beach in the winters.

“Barton & Gray Mariners Club’s fleet of yachts will herald in a new form of water access, boat ownership and lifestyle.” said Alexander Spaulding, Chairman of BGMC. “We deliver the joys of owning a boat and remove the headaches that accompany boat ownership.”

“The United States is moving to a service-based economy. The marine industry is no exception” explains Doug Gray, principal of BGMC. “To date, yacht ownership was a massive individual responsibility, BGMC relieves the burden, reduces costs and increases your time on the water”.

Barton & Gray Mariners Club is redefining boat ownership and maximizing the benefits of the coastal lifestyle with the development of their club and membership opportunities. Barton & Gray Mariners Club provides members with luxury 30 to 60 foot motor yachts, which are managed, crewed and maintained by the Club. Members are partial owners of specific yachts within the fleet and share in the costs of ownership, maintenance and crewing. Members can tailor their experience with Barton & Gray Concierge; outfitting their time on the water with unique food, beverage, activities and entertainment. With a fleet of crewed yachts, membership requires no previous experience owning or operating a boat.
The club is owned and operated by a diverse group of marine, marketing, hospitality and real estate industry experts. Barton & Gray Mariners Club will be initially making membership available throughout the Northeast's popular summer destinations and Florida and the Caribbean for the winter months.
